The picture is taken while I am on my way to Bolgatanga to experience Barcamp Bolga – ‘building a network of changemakers, do-ers and entrepreneurs’. Today’s theme is ‘building partnerships for sustainable development. What is the role of private sector’?
“Barcamps in Ghana bring people interested in Ghana together for an informal networking forum where attendees share ideas, discuss interests, network and learn how to add value to their lives and make impact in their communities” – http://www.barcampghana.org
Personally, feel I go back to the roots of Talent Beyond Limits. Five years ago I won the ‘Millennium Venture Competition’ after I started questioning:
‘How to release the hidden potential of youth and connect it to (social) enterprise development and sustainable business solutions for societal challenges ?’
The first exploration on answering this question was in Bolgatanga. It was together with local partners and a team of Dutch and Ghaniain professionals, who were representing both private and development aid sector. It was the first social enterprise & learning experience based on the Talent Beyond Limits phylosophy.
I write this on my way back to home after a great day.
I feel a story flowing inside of me.
A story about ‘rendez-vous’ and the reality of dreaming.
To be be continued …..
